These terms govern the use of delivery services on the Selam Ride platform including courier, food delivery, and shopping delivery services.

1. Delivery Services

Selam Ride provides an intermediary platform connecting users with independent courier partners. We do not own or operate delivery vehicles. Delivery partners are independent contractors.

2. Prohibited Items

The following items cannot be sent via Selam Ride Delivery:

Illegal drugs or controlled substances
Weapons, firearms, or ammunition
Explosives or flammable materials
Live animals
Counterfeit goods
Human remains or biological materials
Items exceeding 50kg without prior arrangement
Cash or financial instruments (above UGX 500,000 without declaration)

3. Packaging

Senders are responsible for ensuring items are adequately packaged for transport. Selam Ride is not liable for damage caused by inadequate packaging.

4. Liability for Delivery

Our maximum liability for lost or damaged items is UGX 500,000 per delivery or the declared value of the item, whichever is lower. We strongly recommend insurance for high-value items.

5. Delivery Timelines

Estimated delivery times are provided at booking and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to traffic, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.

6. Proof of Delivery

Couriers take a photo upon delivery. The sender and recipient are notified upon successful delivery.

7. Failed Deliveries

If the recipient is unavailable, the courier will wait up to 5 minutes and attempt to contact the sender. If delivery cannot be completed, a return fee may apply.
